Our relationship with food often reveals what is happening inside us.

I notice it in the smallest moments.
When I feel calm, my breath softens and I eat slowly. When anxiety rises, I move quickly without even realizing it.
Food becomes a quiet mirror.
It reflects my emotions long before I put words to them.
Recently I noticed that I would eat rice all the time. It felt comforting and familiar, almost like a safe place where my mind could rest.
Only later I realised that this choice was not only about taste.
It was also about how I felt.

So today I paused for a moment.
I took a deep breath.
I chose to sit with my meal and meet it with gratitude rather than hurry.
That simple choice changed everything. It reminded me that awareness is always available.

How I eat is how I am.
And with presence, I can reconnect with myself anytime. What about you, do you notice how your emotions shape the way you eat? Laura Equanima.
